TCD were engaged by Albemarle at the Kemerton Lithium Plant that is owned 60% by Albemarle through the MARBL Lithium Joint Venture for the supply, fabrication, installation and testing of piping, valves and ancillary associated items at their newly established plant site. The scope of works included:
- Supply and installation of buried DN75 – DN315 HDPE and above ground Carbon Steel Pipe network.
- Approximately 2.2km of trenching and backfill for buried pipework.
- Installation of 79 fire hydrants.
- Installation of 26 indicator posts onto existing fire water gate valves.
- Installation of ancillary items such as concrete supports, thrust blocks, bollards, gate valves, pipe marking tape and labelling.
- Hydrostatic pressure testing and service testing of the newly installed pipe network.
